Greenhouse Gas Emissions: A Recipe for Disaster

The relentless rise in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations, primarily carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), is undeniable. This increase, largely driven by the combustion of fossil fuels and deforestation, is causing a rapid warming of the planet. The challenge is not merely technological; it is fundamentally ethical and political.

The environmental crisis is not merely a scientific problem; it is a profound moral and existential challenge.
